TOM MCGRATH
Tom McGrath is known as the Motorcycle Lawyer for his dedication to motorcyclists and motorcycling. He has more than 30 years of courtroom experience, winning verdicts and settlements for motorcyclists and others injured through no fault of their own. Outside of the courtroom Tom is just as passionate about riding and defending your right to ride. In 1992 he founded the Virginia Coalition of Motorcyclists (vcomonline.org), a political action committee dedicated to promoting and defending the rights of Virginia motorcyclist at the General Assembly and elsewhere. Tom's legal fees provide much of the support for VCOM.
Tom is a graduate of Belmont Abbey College and the University of South Carolina School of Law. He is admitted to practice in Virginia, South Carolina and Tennessee. He sits on the Governor's Motorcycle Advisory Council and the Commonwealth Transportation Safety Board. He has been characterized as a hero by Easyriders Magazine and is the recipient of the Governor's Transportation Safety Award as well as the Silver Spoke Award which was presented by the National Coalition of Motorcyclists and the Motorcycle Safety Award which was presented by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation.

MATT DANIELSON
Matt Danielson has been trying cases for over 15 years. After receiving a commission in the Virginia Army National Guard, Matt became a police officer with the Chesterfield County Police Department. It was the police department that gave Matt his first real contact with the law. He left the police department to go to law school in Ohio. Upon graduation he returned to Virginia and accepted a position as a prosecutor with the Newport News Commonwealth's Attorney's Office. As a prosecutor Matt tried thousands of cases. He eventually became the Chief Deputy Commonwealth's Attorney and was in charge of all of the offices trial teams. In 2003, Matt joined Tom McGrath's Motorcycle Law Group which allowed him to combine his passion for the law with his passion for motorcycles. As a member of Tom McGrath's Motorcycle Law Group Matt has successfully represented motorcyclists in courts throughout the state, from General District Court to the Supreme Court of Virginia. In addition to his duties as a trial attorney, Matt serves as a lobbyist for motorcyclists in Virginia.
Matt is a graduate of Ferrum College and George Mason University. He received his Law Degree from the University of Dayton School of Law. Matt often lectures around the state with regard to laws affecting motorcyclists in Virginia, and is an adjunct professor with Saint Leo University.

LIZ SORRELL
Liz came to Tom McGrath’s Motorcycle Law group with over ten years of trial knowledge and experience as a former prosecutor. She has tried thousands of cases in Virginia and has extensive experience in front of Virginia juries. Her passion for riding coupled with her legal knowledge and skills makes her an effective advocate for Virginia motorcyclists. Liz has successfully represented motorcyclists in courts throughout Virginia. When not in court or riding the back roads, Liz can be reached at our Newport News Office.
Liz is a graduate of Marshall University as well as Thomas Cooley School Law. She often lectures with regard to laws affecting motorcyclists in Virginia, and is an adjunct professor with Saint Leo University.

JIM CANNON
Jim serves as a lobbyist for Virginia motorcyclists and is the Director of the Virginia Coalition of Motorcyclists. While not an attorney, Jim provides his expertise in motorcycles and automotive technology to Tom McGrath's Motorcycle Law Group. He knows bikes inside and out from his many years of both building them and racing them. He has been recognized in courts throughout Virginia as an expert in the area of motorcycle mechanics.
Jim is a trained motorcycle accident reconstructionist as well as a trained automotive accident reconstructionist. Jim is a Motorcycle Safety Instructor with the Virginia Rider Training Program. He sits on the Governors Motorcycle Advisory Council and is the recipient of the Governors Transportation Safety Award. Jim is a nationally certified motorcycle land speed record holder and sits on the board of the East Coast Timing Association.
